Sustained Loading Bond Response and Post-Sustained Loading Behaviour of NSM CFRP-Concrete Elements under Different Service Temperatures

چکیده

Nowadays, one of the foremost procedures for strengthening concrete structures is Near-Surface Mounted (NSM) technique. This paper presents an experimental study on effect sustained loading and different service temperatures (steady cyclic) have NSM Carbon Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP)-concrete bonded joints their post-sustained load-slip behaviour. Four campaigns using eight CFRP-concrete specimens were performed by employing two load levels (15% 30% ultimate load) combining groove thicknesses (7.5 10 mm) lengths (150 225 mm). Two steady state (20 40 °C) cyclic (ranging between 20 programmed. The slip obtained was proportional to level. Furthermore, higher slips registered under mean in cycle. After 1000 h testing, tested monotonic until failure (post-sustained tests). In general, ratio instantaneous close unity, although some differences perceived series S2 37.7 with a increase 6.3%, S3-B (cyclic temperature ranging 24.6 39.2 reduction 9%.

Mechanical behaviour of the intervertebral disc under sustained compressive loading

Spinal segments show non-linear behaviour under axial compression. It is unclear to what extent this behaviour is attributable to the different components of the segment. In this study, we quantified the separate contributions of vertebral bodies and intervertebral discs to creep of a segment. Secondly, we investigated the contribution of bone and osteochondral endplate (endplates including car...

Analysis of Concrete Bridge Girders Strengthened with Cfrp Laminates under Service and Extreme Loading Conditions

Externally bonded carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates are a feasible and economical alternative to traditional methods for strengthening and stiffening deficient reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete girders as shown in Fig. (1). Although extensive research has already been undertaken to investigate the behavior of CFRP strengthened bridge girders, the majority of work condu...

Bond–Slip Relationship for CFRP Sheets Externally Bonded to Concrete under Cyclic Loading

The objective of this paper was to explore the bond-slip relationship between carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and concrete under cyclic loading through experimental and analytical approaches. Modified beam tests were performed in order to gain insight into the bond-slip relationship under static and cyclic loading. The test variables are the CFRP-to-concrete width ratio, and the b...

Time-Dependent Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Beams under Sustained and Repeated Loading

Abstract—The current study aims to highlight the loading characteristics impact on the time evolution (focusing particularly on long term effects) of the deformation of realized reinforced concrete beams. Namely the tension stiffening code provisions (i.e. within Eurocode 2) are reviewed with a clear intention to reassess their operational value and predicting capacity. In what follows the expe...
